Wow. I wasn't very good at blogging regularly in the first place, but I can't believe how bad I have been lately. Facebook has preoccupied my computer spare-time... pathetic, I know.
I am so looking forward to Spring. My favorite time of year.

Princess McKay
Okay... I know if you have spent any time with me in the past week, you are probably OVER hearing me talk about McKay turning 12. Sorry... I'm not done yet! I have to say how amazing it is to see my little girl grow up, and to realize she is becoming such a sweet and talented young lady... I just can't get over how fast time has gone and how quickly she has matured in the past year. And because I have a degree of vanity, I also can't beleive how OLD it all makes me feel! But also blessed... and I'm going to choose to focus on that...

2008 in Review
What a great year! Spring Break in Mexico, the completion of my Master's degree, a family tour of Yellowstone and Rexburg, a fun Hochstrasser reunion, Thanksgiving in Fruitland... opportunities to reconnect with old friends and to make new friendships... watching my kids all grow and mature (well, not so much on the mature, but we'll blame that on Rod! J/K!)... a great ward family and spending time with our own wonderful family members as we've had family get-togethers and visits to and from Idaho. We feel so blessed to be happy and healthy in this exciting time of life! This past year has been a chance for the Riddles to slow down and spend more time together as a family... a chance to be wiser with our spending, kinder to each other, and to focus on the amazing blessings we have all around us. Here's to 2009... may it bring peace, prosperity, and health to all of our friends and loved ones!

Merry Christmas
It's the most wonderful time of the year! My cute kids are so excited about the season and are anxious for snow to fall. Rod has groomed a hill in our retention pond, and they can't wait to go sledding. I'm looking forward to the hot mugs of cocoa that follow! So, here's to a month of family and friends, gratitude and peace,... may all of us enjoy the spirit of the season.

Grateful
I know it may be a little premature, but I feel the need to express my gratitude.
Today I am thankful for:
~ My funny and fab family... supportive and silly, sweet and sassy... I love them!
~ Friends... "A friend is someone who knows all about you, and loves you just the same."
~ My testimony...the core of my being... I need to be better about sharing it...
~ My health
~ Learning... it is through education that I find peace of mind and hope for the future
~ The beauty of the world we live in
~ Smiles
~ Children... they motivate us all to live our best
~ Chocolate and Diet Coke
Life IS good.

Karaoke, anyone?
Okay, so the weather is beginning to chill... which means it's time for my annual winter hibernation. For those of you who don't know, I despise the cold. I am literally allergic to it, (shut up, Rod and Lauren... it's TRUE!)... I break out into hives when I'm out in the cold too long. Anyhow, I have a tendency to "hole up" at this time of year, which for me means... it's time to hit the karaoke stage! So I'm putting this out there... if anyone wants to come join me for an evening of karaoke... please call and invite yourself over! Kiki? Camee? Anyone???
